Back to Resolution

I had a really hard time picking this story back up after putting it down. I've been taking a pile of writing classes and juggling three other stories was at my max. But, classes are out right now and its just me and two cats for a few days. So I'm catching back up with the hopes of wrapping it up this weekend.

I'm going to post the last chapter here, then to on to the yeoman's work of editing the preliminary chapters for posting on the various sites.

Shew. Wish me luck. I'm divin' in.

Added: I dove in to rework the last ten chapters and am still on 85, which was much rougher than the rest of the chapters. Must have been pretty distracted writing that one. I'm going out of town tomorrow and because of space limitations in the trunk of the Miata and that I'm picking up someone on Long Island flying in with luggage, I'm tempted to leave my computer at home and just take an old ipad to check email. It makes my palms sweat and my arms go all rubbery just thinking about it. (But, but, how will I breathe?) So I might not be able to work on it this week at all. But, on the other hand, I won't be working anything, except putting people off until next week.

So glad to hear that you will be working on it again, but so sad that it is coming to an end. It just won't feel right to not have those updates to look forward to. Still, it does have to end and I will look for it.

Welcome back! I do wish you luck as you pick this story back up, but especially I hope you'll enjoy writing this last part as much as I have enjoyed reading this series.

This is great news. I started reading Resolution again to catch up on recent chapters, and I just finished the last one today! I have been checking your blog obsessively, and I'm so excited you're finishing the story!

I had been wondering about this and hoping to see the conclusion appear. Thanks so much for picking it back up. I look forward to seeing it!

Wow! I have missed you and your updates for quite sometime. It sounds really wonderful that you are going to post the last chapter of Resolution here on your site. I look forward to reading it. Thank you for not giving up and finishing Resolution. It is a fantastic story. Will check back soon. Take care, Linda

A long time reader, i have just reread all three books over the hols. My poor family has not seen much of me, but I've had a blast.

Looking forward to the ending whenever it comes.

Wishing you a very happy New Year!

It's seems I'm not the only one who was musing about fan fiction classics in the holiday season. We all were thinking of what to read, I guess.

Anyway, I hope you have a great 2014! I hope there'll maybe be a resolution to Resolution in the new year. If you're struggling to find a place to stop, may I respectfully suggest this final sentence for your epic:

So Harry married Hermione and they lived happily ever after, THE END.

No need to thank me, just helping out. :-)

(I reckon I've got twice the chance of you actually writing this sentence, because you can always have Harry take a quick trip to a H/Hr universe.)

I hope this message finds you well...! I have loved your writing and your series for years. I really hope you may be inspired to write to the end of Resolution, being so near it, and after all the time and talent you've put into this, though, if not, I still thank you for all the reading pleasure you have granted me by sharing your amazing writing and plotting. I can honestly say that I re-read your trilogy with more enjoyment than I do the HP canon.

I really like your Suze, and hope to see your ending, hopefully happy with Harry. They seem to balance out each other quite nicely! Actually, I like what you have written in the HP-verse better than JKR's (but don't tell her - she may get sore).

Eagerly awaiting your last few chapters in entirety!

I tried to stop by darkirony dot com, and it was down. I hope not permanently. I'm not below getting on my knees and begging for you to come back!

Hello there! I didn't realize it had been so long since an update.  I'll admit I'm a bit fearful that it has now been abandoned but I'll hope for the best. I've really enjoyed this FF and have read it many times. I do hope all is well with you.  Maybe a quick LJ post to let us know you're still with us?

best wishes
I've become resigned to the likely fact that this series will not be continued. I've been following it since 2005, and I have reread it several times. I will always look upon this series with great fondness. While I'll always be curious about how you had intended for this series to be resolved, I'll not ignore the chance it gives the reader to create his or her own ending. Thank you for the time, hard work and effort it took for you to share your imagination and talent with us. You'll always be one of my favorite fan fiction writers. Best wishes, Josette

Really missing this story. I keep rereading all your stories and then come to the end where you left off here. I realise that you have a busy life, but do you think you might finish Resolution one day? It is so brilliant and you are so talented. Hope so.

Hope all's well - looks like darkirony.com is down.

I hope you eventually finish this story. It would be a shame to have put so much of your time into these wonderful stories and never finish. You are sooo close!

Really Love This Story
I just reread the trilogy again from start to finish and it really is possibly the best writing out there - be it fanfiction, Harry Potter itself, or frankly any book I've ever read (coming from a librarian that means something!). I really hope to one day read the end of resolution, but no matter what, thank you so much for this wonderful story!

A couple years on and it's still such a shame that the last story of the trilogy was left unfinished so very close to the end.

Of course, that's totally okay, it was always your time, your work, and your efforts that brought this wonderful trilogy to life in the first place, and I am very grateful for what we have. I do appreciate every word you have written on this epic: I come back to it once in a while for a full re-read, and think I always will. It actually is one of the best pieces of fiction I've ever read (I love it so much more than the original HP books) and reading it brings me a lot of joy and comfort.

Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I was thinking about your wonderful writing, and I hope you are doing well, and thank you again for sharing your words with us.

Weird how Marie dropped out just in the very last stage of completing her epic. I hope she's okay.

Time for a re-read myself, I think. I never read the drafts of the last chapter(s) that she posted here on her Live Journal; I'll save them for the end.
